Ed Sheeran has been named the UK's top telling artist of 2014 so far with his album X.

According to Official Charts Company data, Sheeran's album sold over 182,000 copies during its first week on sale in June, and has gone on to sell over 634,000 copies. He commented 'I'm so happy people have been enjoying my album so much - great to hear that it's still the biggest seller of the year and has now gone double Platinum too'. Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour came second, Coldplay's Ghost Stories came third and Paolo Nutini's Caustic Love took the fourth spot.
